Bible: Psalms 97:1-12Psalms 97:1-12
English: World English Bible - WEB

97 1 Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad! 2 Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 A fire goes before him, And burns up his adversaries on every side. 4 His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory. 7 Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, Who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods! 8 Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, Because of your judgments, Yahweh. 9 For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods. 10 You who love Yahweh, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous people! Give thanks to his holy Name.

Bible: Psalms 95:1-13Psalms 95:1-13
English: World English Bible - WEB

95 1 Oh come, let’s sing to Yahweh. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation! 2 Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs! 3 For Yahweh is a great God, A great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his. 5 The sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land. 6 Oh come, let’s worship and bow down. Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker, 7 For he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, And the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice! 8 Don’t harden your heart, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 9 When your fathers tempted me, Tested me, and saw my work. 10 Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, And said, “It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways.” 11 Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They won’t enter into my rest.”

Bible: Matthew 5:21-28Matthew 5:21-28
English: World English Bible - WEB

21 “You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘Raca “Raca” is an Aramaic insult, related to the word for “empty” and conveying the idea of empty-headedness.!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna Gehenna is another name for Hell that brings to mind an image of a burning garbage dump with dead bodies in it.. 23 “If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him in the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. 26 Most assuredly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny. Literally, kodrantes. A kodrantes was a small copper coin worth about 2 lepta —not enough to buy very much of anything. 27 “You have heard that it was said, TR adds “to the ancients,” ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ 28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
